Guzmania plants are perennial plants in the bromeliad family. There are over 120 different guzmania plants that are native to South America. These tropical plants are known as epiphytic plants and attach to trees with roots which never reaches the soil. It has striking bracts that grow from the centre of the plant and can be red, yellow, orange, or deep purple in colour, depending on the species. The leaves are thin and dark green. It only uses the host plant for support and does not cause any injury to them. A perfect addition to your home garden.
